Marisa was born and raised in the canyons of Santa Barbara, CA.  She began working with leather at a young age after being given a deerhide that had been tanned years back by her grandmother.  Her jewelry making started with stringing together old Navajo, Zuni and mexican jewelry scraps from pieces her parents had collected over the years.

After finishing school she moved to the beach in Mexico for a year to surf, work, play music and make art and jewelry.  All pieces were made with scavenged materials found in market places.  

Now based in Oakland CA, she continues to create handmade pieces that have a beach aesthetic, mixed with a rock n roll modern lux quality.  Designed to be worn multiple ways, these pieces allow the wearer freedom in styling and layering.
