Kati Von Lehman
In 2011 I started working from home to be able to care for my daughter, Loraine. In addition to sewing and knitting a lot of Loraine's clothes, I built furniture and toys from materials I found or repurposed. Continuing a life long study in design and craft, I took some courses in woodworking and ceramics. Being at home I felt that I wanted to design and make everything we use in a way that would suit our lifestyle and also be beautiful.
I am interested in making serving vessels, houseware objects, and furniture utilizing the idea of multi-function and efficiency. I make many items that nest, or hang, or stack away in tight places. My goal is to create a line of beautiful, timeless pieces in ceramic, textiles, and wood that have a variety of uses for everyday life.
All my work is made to be used frequently. Dishes are all food safe and all finishes are non-toxic.
